Had a clogged bathroom sink a couple of days ago. I spent about a 1/2 hour trying to get the clog out with by hand. (Well, and then with a screw driver when it seemed like the clog was deeper than my hand could go.) Finally, gave up and wondered if a plunger would do any good. Took care of the problem in a couple of minutes. I feel I would have learned a lot more from physics labs that had been structured like that.
In other news, when installing a door you should make sure to leave enough room on the frame so that the door can close after weather stripping has been added to my frame. This is something my landlady did not remember. (Fortunately weatherstripping can go around most of the frame, just not next to the latch.)
