Luck, Income, & Taxes

This Mark Thoma post on luck influencing income, and how it should in turn lead to progressive taxation, is fascinating. The basic gist is that luck influences our incomes to an enormous extent, so no one should be particularly grumpy about having progressive taxes because they people making larges amounts of money owe it as much to luck as to skill and dedication.

  2. Interesting. Thanks!
